Company registration in the AIFC

A Private Company is registered under the law of the Astana International Financial Centre via the digitalresident.kz portal. The registrar is the AIFC Financial Services Authority (AFSA). The company receives a BIN, is entered in the public register and, as an AIFC participant, hires foreign employees without a permit or quota.

Three name options, Ltd. or Limited suffix, activities with shares, business description, financial year, registration e-mail and phone, capital and share structure.

Participants and officers

For each — roles (shareholder, director, CEO, signatory, UBO), share, passport, Kazakhstan IIN, home-country tax number, address, e-mail. Everyone verifies on the portal and passes KYC personally.

Registered address

A lease or the owner's consent letter with the address and RKA code. The address must be within the AIFC boundaries — a requirement, not a privilege.

Founders' resolution and filing

The Resolution of Incorporating Shareholders is signed with the authorised person's digital signature; the signatory must match the person in the resolution. The fee is paid by card on the portal — the payer must match the cardholder.

Registration and after

AFSA certificate, BIN, entry in publicreg.myafsa.com. Then — bank account, accounting, and C3 visas via the Expat Centre when hiring foreigners.

Important

Registration is most often delayed by: an address outside the AIFC, incomplete KYC for one participant, no IIN for the CEO, a payer who is not the cardholder, and a digital-signature signatory who differs from the person named in the resolution.

Questions and answers

Do I need to come to Kazakhstan to register?

The portal works remotely, but the CEO needs an IIN, and a digital signature and some steps require presence or a power of attorney. We agree the route for your structure before starting.

What does AIFC participant status give?

Hiring foreigners without a labour permit or quota, reduced Expat Centre tariffs, English-language AIFC law. Visas, fees and migration registration are processed as usual.

Can I get a visa and residency by investing in the company?

Yes — the ITRP programme: from USD 60,000 into an AIFC-law company, provided the shares belong to the applicant personally. It gives tax residency and an A5 visa for 1–5 years with dependent visas.
